“I’m grateful that the definition of strength has evolved & changed. It’s no longer about doing everything on your own,” says Niki Jones, Owner of San Diego Moms Blog. When Niki was transitioning to single motherhood, she found herself deep in stress trying to stay on top of everything. As someone who always considered herself to be independent, Niki had to learn the power of asking for help.
As a single mother and entrepreneur, there is no time for burnout. According to Niki, one of the ways she manages stress is by taking care of herself first. Niki believes that prioritizing herself makes her a better mother to her daughter and a better business owner to her community.
Her passion for giving back has allowed her to create unbreakable bonds with other moms within her community. Whenever Niki experiences hardship, she knows she can rely on the support of her loving network. Without them, she knows that she wouldn’t be the strong mother she is today.
Tune into this week’s episode of AskMamaAmy to hear more about Niki Jones journey through entrepreneurship and motherhood as a single mother. Learn more about the community that she created through her blog and how that community has transformed into her lifeline.
